GRADING KEY

In an effort to keep things simple, a ten number grading scale is used,
with the quality of the condition decreasing as the numbers decrease:

10 = Mint, flawless, perfect, the best.
9
8
7
6
5.5 = Obvious signs of moderate wear and usage, average.
5
4
3
2
1 = Worn out, trashed, unplayable, the worst.

Hopefully, most of the items sold on E.G. will grade somewhere
between 10 and 5.5 -- approaching perfect to better than average.
Only extremely rare items will be listed at grades less than 5.

Other terms and grading notes:
"Original pressing" = The first pressing, noted to differentiate it from a "reissue" or later pressing.
"Original" or "reissue" will be noted only if it is significant (many items only had one release).
"Promo" = The item was distributed by a record company for radio play or other promotional purposes and
likely will have stickers and/or stamps on the cover and/or label, and the label may
be different than standard store stock. These promo anomalies will ALWAYS be noted.
"Mono" (for monaural) and "stereo" = This denotes whether the recording is in one (mono) or two (stereo)
channel format. This will usually be noted if the item had both a monaural
and stereo release. If there was only one format release, mono/stereo may not be noted.
"Electronic" or "Rechanneled" fake stereo releases will ALWAYS be noted.
"Cut-out" marks on covers = These will ALWAYS be noted. These include "punch-out holes,"
"saw marks" and "cut corners." Most of the time these marks will be visible in the cover scans.
Covers and/or label defects such as taped seams, stickers, tears, writing in ink or
marker, water damage or stains, etc., will ALWAYS be noted.
Country of origin will be noted if it is other than the United States.
If there is no mention of where the record was manufactured, you can assume it was the US.
